Huntington, WV and the Tri-State of WV/KY/OH is a wonderful region to live and work, and visit! There are many reasons to celebrate and enjoy the natural beauty of the area, and discovering the artistic talents and welcoming warmth of so many in the community. John Mandt Jr of Stewarts Original Hot DogsThe annual WV Hot Dog Festival was the original thought of John Mandt, Jr., owner of Stewarts Original Hot Dogs. John came to iHeart Media-Huntington & the Tri-State's Market Manager, Judy Jennings, and Sr. AE, Kym York-Blake to develop, build, promote, manage and execute this annual festival.

The last Saturday in July was chosen for each year's WV Hot Dog Festival (July is National Hot Dog Month). The three co-founders wanted to give folks another great reason to come celebrate downtown Huntington and beautiful Pullman Square, and agreed they wanted to choose a charity that would benefit children in our own Tri-State region of WV/KY/OH.

On Saturday, July 30th, 2005, the WV Hot Dog Festival was born. The festival raised $8000 the first year for the kids.

With the valuable help of business sponsors, contest participants, volunteers, and festival-goers, the annual WV Hot Dog Festival has raised well over $160,000 to date, all used to help children in treatment for cancer and other life-threatening illness, in partnership with Cabell Huntington Hospital's Hoops Family Children's Hospital.

It is important to our iHeart radio family (WKEE 100/103.3 WTCR/B97FM/106.3 "The Brew"/800 WVHU/FOX Sports Radio 1230 & 1420), along with the top hot dog businesses and area sponsors, these donations are raised to help our local children in need. Any sponsorship and/or donation amount is appreciated and valued. Contact us to find out how you can make a tax deductible donation or help sponsor the festival.

We hope you plan to attend (bring the kids and the family dog too), participate in the contests, eat some delicious hot dogs, shop our vendors and booths, enjoy the amazing music and entertainment, buy a souvenir t-shirt, just enjoy the day with us at beautiful Pullman Square and downtown Huntington, and consider making a donation to the WV Hot Dog Festival before, and/or during the event.

We are looking forward to a fun day with you each year at the annual WV Hot Dog Festival! (Always the last Saturday in July each). Expect even more things to see, do, hear, experience, enjoy, and sponsor each year!

Don't forget to mark your calendar for the last Saturday in July, invite family and friends from out of town for the weekend, and know we happily invite

YOU, YOUR FAMILY, AND THE FAMILY DOG! It's always a dog-gone good time!
